FABINDIA made a generous gesture by donating 3500 brand new clothes to the needy. Some of the clothes were shared with the CANCER PATIENTS and their relatives at Bharat Seva Sangh, Vashi. They were very happy to receive them.
The villagers of Pathraj and other nearby villagers received brand new clothes received from FABINDIA. Around 500 children, women, men and senior citizens benefitted from this gesture. UWF undertook the organization of Mind Training Yoga sessions for 100 young children within the age group of 9-14 years in association with Cosmic Power Trust in June 2008. The session conducted for more than a month helped rejuvenate the minds of the kids as well as helped enhance their health.
New Clothes received from Fabindia were distributed to the lesser privileged students studying at Smt. P N Doshi College, Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Around 400 + clothes were distributed on 6th and 7th August, 2013.
Blood Donation Camp was organised at Marico Ltd in Andheri by UWF on 14th Sept. 2012 for the Cancer patients at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. A total of 78 units of blood collected from the donors.
Capgemini’s Airoli Office staff again came forward to donate blood for the needy and poor patients attending the Sion Hospital, Sion, Mumbai. A record total of 239 units of blood was donated on 3rd May. 2011. This was the highest number ever collected for Capgemini as well as for Udaan.
First Data employees in Thane again came forward to donate Blood for the Cancer patients at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai on 22nd Nov. 2013.84 donors motivated themselves enthusiastically to participate, however, we could collect only 53 units of Blood due to several rejections.
